Hi Christine, I wasn't menopausal, lumpectomy with raditation, my onco said we are turning the hormone tap off completely with Tamoxifen and ovaries removed. I then had total hysterectomy (my choice to have the lot out), with ooperectomy. Am now on Arimidex which is not fun, but as it turned out my uterus had problems even though an all clear ultrasound, ovaries were ok, but I saw them as a potential cancer problem. This part of the cancer treatment was much easier, I also saw these body parts as disposable, no longer required. I am pleased I had the lot out.
What does your oncologist say, I would think their opinion would be greater?
