You are going to have bad days. I did the same thing with the my journey kit. Only problem was, I sent it back so that they could send me the Hopes and Hurdles one (for advanced). I still didn't open it up for about 12 months and even then it was a difficult time.
At the start you don't have much control over things. You have to go to the appointments they tell you, you have to have the tests they want you to have, it just gets out of your hands for a while.
Things will settle down even though at the moment it doesn't feel like it. It is very emotional at the start, but once everything falls into place you will find that you just jam it into the rest of your day.
I think the passing of Jim Stynes today plays a part in the mood too. He had a big impact on so many people even if you didn't watch the footy.
I don't know if my words will comfort you much while you feel so bad but they are meant in the nicest possible way. (Please don't throw the my journey at me!) Put it aside and you will know when you are ready to look at it.
