Hi Jo1234, I felt exactly the same when my GP told me that is invasive ductal carcenoma, all I wanted was to get it out of me . I was diagnosed on 21/6/11 and had my surgery on 7/7/11 to remove the lump and to have sentinel node biopsy, since than I had one more surgery to remove further tissue as one of the margin contained some precancerous cells, but I feel soo much better now knowing that the cancer is out of me, you'll be the same just keep positive . You are not at fault for getting the disease none of us are . I'll keep you in my prayers and hope your surgery will give a little relieve to get you ready for the next step of the journey.
