Amazing - I am reading some great stuff here. These ladies have all gone thru so much. I was lucky - a lumpectomy in Aug 08 - 6 weeks of radiation. And life is pretty darn good. I love my job, my family and my friends. I smile at what I have every day and am so thankful for it. Cancer doesn't define us - we learn not to take anything for granted. You take control - go thru the steps you need to go thru with the medicos and then do what feels right for you. 2 weeks into radiation I joined bootcamp - the physical stuff was great. I was lucky radio appointments were made outside work hours so I felt that my life was normal. Tamoxifen became my friend along with the annoying flushes , I have now graduated to Arimedex. The win there is that the flushes are fewer. The people you will meet and the support that is available will be a great strength to you. Grab it with both hands and smile all the way. I'm sending the good vibes your way - get ready to catch them!!!
