I think my results are good but others seem still upset about me having chemo.

well looks like everything has been said about your results from the girls, and i agree when the word cancer is mentioned we all freak, but further down the road, we are given that extra bit of insurance by chemo, which has everyone else freaking, chemo affects everybody different, and i think the main aim going through it, is to make sure you have plenty back up just in case you need time out for yourself, this is a busy time of year especially when you have children, so make sure you take all the offers of help you can get, look forward to hearing how you go, but please remember there is always someone on here to come on and talk to. Yes I think that you are both right.  Most people expect me to be really sick in bed every day and maybe having Chemo will make them scared that will happen.  As much it would be nice to stay in bed.  Its impossible when you have kids, husband and work.  I also don't think I am that type of person just to stay in bed and do nothing. Plus not being allowed to drive for 4 weeks is making batty.  I can't wait to escape (lol) and be allowed to do normal stuff again. ie. like shopping and driving kids to school. Gee with Xmas around the corner, it will be full on, then I will most probably be sick of shopping again.

sounds good to me too.  You already knew you had cancer, thats not good, but clear nodes is good, and secondly they are hormone positive so that also means that you have something to throw at it (cancer) for the next five years so I think that is good too.

Whilst chemo is not fun, it is good that you can have it to mop up any strays!!

Great that you are feeling positive about your results, the fact that your nodes were clear is a big plus.  I am sure that the people are only concerned that you have to go through chemo and lets face it most people think of people going through chemo is sick, bald people lying in bed, however, we know that many women (like Louise) and a lot of us here work during chemo, take our kids to school, cook meals and do regular things for most of the time while going through chemo.

I was wondering how you got on with your results!  All as expected from the sounds of things, which is good news :) I had a similar response from some of my relatives when I told them that I had to have chemo, even though I thought it was good news!  I think it is just the word "chemo" that makes everyone think that you are really sick.  Once I told everyone that it was more or less an insurance policy to make sure that it didn't come back again, and that it was all gone as far as I was concerned, they seemed a bit better about it.

Keep positive and the chemo isn't too bad....you just feel a bit ordinary for about a week afterwards (I'm still working through mine and I've had 2 out of 4 chemos so far).
