Yeah, I had the mastectomy and no reconstruction too. It was just about a year ago. I went on the public hospital waiting list, but after lots of research and waiting! I've decided to go ahead privately. I'm off work this year so have the time.
You can always go on a Public waiting list. One lady here waited 21months. Others have gone privately and been out of pocket very little!
So I guess it just depends on your reconstruction type and surgeon. Shop around!
