Tonya my sweet friend - you are right, right, right. I was actually talking about this problem to a friend on the phone this morning and she seems to think its the generation - she said, 'People don't even say thank you any more...." Well I said to her - if I continue to act this way, my children are going to continue to treat me this way............so, I am going to 'put some space and time between them and I.............." I think that will do some good, maybe they will come home wagging their tails behind them (yeah right!) Any way at least it will give me some breathing space. My second youngest son went to live with his father when he was 15 (he was six foot and towered over me!) and I couldn't control him - he is now a very aggressive, angry and highly abusive person (he frightens me!) and I am glad he is in Queensland so I can sleep at night, but his outbursts were irrational and quite disturbing - so I have decided to give him a huge wide berth......My other children are just what you'd expect, they never abuse me but tend to 'take ol' mum for granted.....she'll be right' and hardly bother to contact me except when they want to download their problems - my eldest son is pretty good, he Skypes me every week and even flew down here to be with me for a couple of days (the only one that has bothered) ok - I paid the fare, but that was offered to the others as well.
Anyway - I feel very good knowing I have a great husband - wonderful friends down her in Vic and gorgeous ladies on here who listen to my venting - God I love you all! Bearing this in mind, I feel comfortable putting some space between them and I for some time - that is they can ring me for a change - in the meantime, I am getting on with my life and see what other little gems I can come up with to make you ladies laugh! x x x big hugs, love Josie
