I have my implants

I had my tissue expanders remove and my silicone implants inserted.  I am amaze that I have a bit of pain.  Its no way as much as the masectomy.  Its just that after the masectomy, around the scar and on the scar I had no feeling.   So I just assume I would not have any pain there.   There is a couple spots that have no feeling but majority have feeling.  I wonder if after this heals will I have feeling or lose it again.

Otherwise I am feeling pretty good.  I knew the tissue expanders were expanded larger than what the implants would be and what my normal size was.  My plastic surgeon said this is done so there is a little extra skin so this lets the silicone drop a little to look natural for a middle age woman.  I had stated I did not want to look like some old woman having a boob job with too perky boobs.

So now the silicone are in and it does look smaller than the expanders.  I guess the eyes got used to the slightly bigger size.  The up side is I can now fit back into some of my tight fitting tops.

Thank you ladies for all your well wishes.

  • Great to hear that all went well Dot and I'm sure the pain will reduce soon.  I haven't got any feeling in my new boobs at all!  Had the areola tattood last week and didn't feel a thing on the new one but I did have a bit of pain on the scar of the old one....weird as I didn't think that there was any feeling there either.  I guess we will both have to wait and see :)
