I have IBC

I was diagnosed 22 Oct 2010, so not far behind you although my treatment has been messed around so much. I'm starting my radiation next week for 5 weeks and can't wait for this all to be over and done with. I am being treated at the PA hospital in Brisbane and wondering where you were treated.

I very rarely use this site but I am on Facebook and I'm in an IBC support group on FB where most of the woman are in the USA.

I didn't get clear margins and had a left mastectomy only. My tumor mass was 16.5cm and that was after chemo, which they only gave me 4 rounds of FEC before surgery but the doctors had originally said 6 rounds of chemo before surgery. After surgery I ended up having taxotere which made me too sick so they switched it to Taxol which caused allergic reactions in me so they ceased chemo and said to bring radiation forward, which doesn't start till next week.

I'm not very happy with how my treatment protocol has gone as I didn't get the clear margins and feel like the cancer still has the opportunity to spread. I'm 35 years old and have a 2 and 4 year old. Anyway I will search you on FB, if that's ok.
