I have IBC
Hi Wendy
Yes I have inflammatory breast cancer. I was diagnosed 22 October 2010, almost 6 weeks ago. I am going through chemo now, so it has only just begun for me. It is a very scary time for me a...
Sue, Thank you for all that important information. I will start tonight on the brushing of the arm. I don't have full movement and have a cording scar under my arm which is like a rigid tight band that has healed and stuck there.
You have made me enthusiastic with hope that I can stop the lymphadema.
I'm not sure about the Arimidex as just lately I have been having some heart palpitations while watching TV at night and I'm ending up feeling really ill from it all but not sure what's causing it. I have taken my arimidex 5 hours later than usual tonight to see what happens.
I already have a very active life with lots of people visiting all the time, I play the keyboard and my husband has a dance band that I kind of manage and organise all the songs and sheet music for the guys.
I will try the pillow to hold my arm up in bed. I was given a pillow in hospital for this purpose but wondered how it would go with me turning over at night..
Strangely enough, I haven't cried since I was diagnosed, I don't know why as I get emotional just watching sad movies or thinking of my pets who have passed on. My aim now is to have as much fun as I can while I can.
Thank you Sue for your input, it has really inspired me to get out that brush.
Love Wendy
