Hi Josie, I can feel your anxiety, and know exactly what is going through your head. I had a similar experience 1 year ago, and it is scarey. The difference for me, was that having already had a mastectomy, and chemo, I had decided to have a second mastectomy, and this new lump showed up while I was having my pre surgery mammo and ultra sound. The radiologist was concerned and ordered a core biopsy as he was convinced it was suspicious. Fortunately they could do it that day, but the waiting for results was awful, because it is so hard to not think the worst. My results were BENIGN. The relief was amazing. It was also a clear sign for me that having a second mastectomy was indeed the right thing for me to do. Any doubts I may have had, completely disappeared. 11 months have now passed since this surgery, and I have now completed reconstruction, and have had no regrets at all. Love Chris xx
