I feel like a woman again

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that I came across this great website to buy swimwear following a mastectomy.  It's called Jamu Australia and even though they're based in London, they appear to have a distribution house in Queensland.  I ordered a tankini last Friday and it came in on Tuesday!!  It sounds weird but I'm a little bit closer to feeling normal again.

Now I just need to find a website that sells good head garments.  Any ideas?  Just started losing my hair last weekend with only 6 treatments to go... bugger...

See ya,

Teresa

Thank you so much for your ideas.  I feel confident that I can look good whilst going through chemo.  Take care xxx

  • Thanks so much Teresa for passing on the website!  It looks great and I'll be ordering off it.  One of my girlfriends found me a great bandanna thingie that looks like it belongs on a Harley rider at the Tallebudgera markets.  It looks great and I wear it all the time!

  • Welcome to the site, I hope that you find you get plenty of support on here. Before my chemo started I bought some lovely scarves and I googled chemo headwear and bought several from there. At the martket I bought the lovely soft head wraps too. For over the winter I wore hats and had lots of fun buying those as I just lvoe hats.

I am looking forward to the bathers site to find something a bit special.

Take care I hope all goes well.

  • Thanks for the web site Teresa. It looks good and not too expensive. When I was looking for hats and scarves I just went to google and searched 'chemo hats' and heaps of sites come up. I also searched through local markets and second hand shops to find head gear that was just a bit different. Good luck with all your treatment. It's a tough road but it is doable!
