I am back

Hello ladies,

I am back after a couple of weeks of self imposed computer free time, i thought the computer compounded my headache problems after chemo so gave myself some time off to see if it helped, unfortunately it didn't so next time i will just keep using the comp and hope that they change my medication to help with the headaches.

Anyway today i have a day off work for a good reason not more hospital and doctors appointment,, i get to go to the Look good feel better workshop that is being held at our local hospital, am really looking forward to it.

Hope that everyone is in a good place now, i am but then it is only another week and i am back for round 3 of chemo, after that at least i am half way done with it... ya can't wait to be able to say i am over half way... yes small thing amuse small minds as they say lol

Anyway enough for now and i will report back later as to how the workshop went.. hope you all have a good day.

    Hi ladies, went to the look good workshop and all i can say is what a wonderful time i had, the other women there were gr8 and i could not get over all the products you get to take home with you, they will keep me going for along time yet.

    They used me as the dumby for the head ware and it was a blast trying on all the different hats and scarves, who would have thought there were so many ways to make the same  hat look different, made me decide to go shopping today lol. managed to come home with 2 new hats and a couple of scarves so am all happy here.

    It is now 6 days till chemo and this time my partner is coming with me, should be interesting to see him sit still for 2 hours lol not his strong point but god luv him for wanting to do it. so far i have had a different person with me each time.. keeps it interesting i guess.

    I to can not wait till the picc line comes out and i can have a normal shower again, the plastic bags are starting to get on my nerves.

    Anyway hope all are in a good place and taking care of themselves.

    Hey Sandy -- glad you're feeling good.  Would love to hear how you enjoy the workshop. :)

    It is a great experience and you may make some new friends.  I can now say I am over half way through chemo - day 4 after chemo3 with only one more to go.  It is a nice feeling getting close to the end.  Friends are such a blessing.  I was feeling a bit lonely being confined to home with all the side effects of chemo and low and behold the courier came with a lovely bunch of roses and chocolates from my lovely long-time friends from the Sunshine coast.  What a lovely pick me up!!!! XLeonie

    Hope you enjoy your day. I found the workshop excellent and the products I was given were amazing still using them (went last August). Counting down the chemo is hard but you are nearly half way.  It is the small things that matter at times. One of my small things was not having to take a shower with a plastic bag on my arm after the PICC came out from chemo! Sounds like you are going well and after today you'll have a new boost when you see how good you look with all the help of the ladies at Look good. Enjoy
