Hysterectomy next stage of my treatment, anyone else?

I was diagnosed in Feb, had surgery, removed 2cm tumor BC was estrogen positive, stage one. I had the radiation in May/June, then started tamoxifen, but that has made me very sick. I took it for 3 weeks, and was so sick with pain/headaches, depression, because  I couldn't see my Oncologist until the following week, I then went to my local GP, who agreed that the symptoms that was happening to me out weighted the treatment. So I stopped, next day I felt better, and each day after, it has been a month now, yet I am still getting pains in my ovaries, so I then saw a Gynecologist oncologist, who said that removal of the uterus as well as my ovaries and tubes, will stop cancer starting their.  I am 53 still having periods every month, they are getting heavier, yet I have had menopausal systoms for the last 3 years, I don't want anymore children. But I am scared as to why I have this pain? I have made my mind up to not take any hormone tablets, does anyone feel the same as me? After the last surgery, I am scared but something has to be done?

Hi, a friend of mine went onto Tamoxifen and it caused her to haemorrhage. Her oncologist changed her medication to Arimidex, and she is much better. Keep talking to your treatment team, as I hope that you don't have to have a hysterectomy. Take care, Tracey B ??????
