Diagnosed 29th Jan 2013, still in a bit of shock. Mostly continuing life as though I just had a bad dream...

Hi Hanna,I have just been diagnosed on the 21st Feb and was told I had DCIS and was told i'd be haveing a lumpectomy. Then the next day had to go back to the doc only to be told I now don't have a choice have to have a mastectomy in right breast. Next thing I was given all different options like mastectomy no reconstruction, mastectomy and reconstructrion, or to have a bi lateral mastectomy and reconstruction all I did was ask if I could go home and think over weekend. I went back monday 25th and said I'll have bi lateral mastectomy and reconstruction,This will be happening on the 27th march and will be a 12 hr operation so at the moment I'm in shock, scared, and want someone to wake me out of this dream. I'm 36 years old and have a 3 and 8 year old as well
