El cheapo sports bra from Best & Less give some support without any wires....as does the instrument of torture called a Crop Top from the same place. Nah, just kidding. Crop tops usually have a band of elastic around your chest under your boobs, no wires at all, a pad sewn inside them for nipple smoothness. I can't answer for how effective they are for holding padding in for those who have been through the masectomy route. There's also a wonderful website that I look at occasionally, sigh and think "one day I'll get one of those" called Bras Without Wires, designed by a lady who has been through all this.  You might also try Big W who had a whole rack of "post surgery" bras. I used that one for about three months, nice wide straps. no wires, little pockets to put any pads you might need, very comfortable.
