How to get started
Hello, I'm new to this site (pretty new to breast cancer too) - having a bit of trouble working out how to start - I tried to join the Young Breast Cancers Group but it said it was no longer in use -...
Hi Cheryl, thanks so much for the quick reply. Yes it's all been a crazy month, well 2 really as I had my surgery 4 weeks ago, but I was only diagnosed the week before that, after having a routine check the week before that. I have to consider myself lucky it was picked up at stage 2 and is hormone receptive but I can't help but be frustrated that the doctor dismissed my first pointing it out 2 and a half years ago as they would have got it at stage 1 - so I just have to be happy I got another check now which this time was much easier to feel so at least it didn't get to grow - it was 2 and a half cm so was getting there. So I've had the surgery and am now about to start the radiation, tamoxafen and zoladex. I was going ot join the young breast cancers blog page as it says "under 50" and at 44 I just squeeze in! But have been looking around at the other pages too, in particular Zoladex! So yes I'm finding it all a bit overwhelming at times so thought I would try this site, must head off now as quite tired, warm regards, Di :-)
