Thanks MaryLeigh for your response. I have had a few weeks to "get used" to my situation, but it seems that each day I have another decision to make! I have chosen my oncologist/surgeon and plastic surgeon and have decided on the diep method of reconstruction to be done all at the same time. The only thing left for me to decide is if I should only have the affected breast removed and reconstructed or if I should get both done at the same time. My oncologist said she would support me either way. My plastic surgeon was the same too. Support for me whichever way I went. I am booked in for the surgery on 28 March, but have to let them know my decision in the next few days so that they can allocate enough operating time on that day.
