I remember it being an easy decision to make in terms of knowing it was the right thing to do, but it has been an incredibly difficult decision to become comfortable with.
It's good you have found your surgeon. Personally I had several opinions for recon, as surgeons seem to special use in particular procedures. You should be a candidate for immediate recon which can be a bonus too.
