DCIS seems to be defined differently depending where you look. Have a look at the Cancer Australia site also, as that is the official Australian position and BCNA have that info also.
What ever you call it though the jury seems to be out on how it progresses to invasive if at all. I think thats why they go harder on the treatment. Because its not a single tumor. It does make thing confusing.
What will help you though is to find a surgeon you can trust and go with what they say. Then you can feel confident you are doing everthing you can within your power to treat your disease.
