Hi all, I am completely confused as to what I have and what I should do about it. I have been diagnosed with low grade DCIS but have a large area of paillomas and can not have a lumpectomy. So I suppose mastectomy it will be. Just not sure what type, as apparently I have choices. I also have to decided wether to have a double just in case of it appearing in the left breast at sometime in the future. I am completely confused and not really sure, as some others have postedhere, as to whether I ahve cancer or not, and that such radical treatment is the only way forward. Any way any thoughts would be appreciated. This is my first comment on this site, so not sure if I have done it correctly!
