Not sure how to handle this. Having to lose both my breasts seems so cruel after everything else I have gone through in the past few years. Can't get my head around more surgery and losing more of ...me! Cancer ....again. Why! Not sure how much more I can take.

So sorry to hear you have breast cancer but you've come to the right place.I've had breast cancer twice and alot of crap inbetween.It's like you just come up for air and then you get dunked again.But we women are strong and what choice do we have anyway but to get through it.I hope you are surrounded with love and support cos that helps us.It's been over 2 years now since my mastectomy and I've got my life back on track(a new track!)Blog back here for support and info or to rant and rave- I think it helps.Sending you a hug tonight. Hi Kez, just start by one day at a time. You can do it just focus on each step as they appear and try not to be overwhelmed by the bigger picture. I did it with the help of this website, it was my saviour for information and to let me know I wasn't alone. I also cooked like a crazy woman because I love to cook. Do what you love when you are not fighting and go easy on yourself. Hang in there you will have bad days and good but in the end you will have learnt so much and be so much stronger for it. I was just starting to feel like I had turned a corner from the last few years. I lost my husband of 27yrs to a much younger woman. Then I had a melanoma that spread to my right lung and had it taken from me. I have already had a hysterectomy and now I have to lose my breasts. The crazy thing is that they tell me that this is breast cancer and not part of the other cancer I live with every day. That's crazy! I feel like I had nothing left. I am so emotional and am struggling to stay strong. I do have some wonderful family and friends but this has got to be so hard for them to see me like this again. I haven't told my mum and dad yet because they have already lost my sister to cancer when she was 35 and my brother in an accident when he was 12. I just hate putting them through this again.

Sorry to hear you are going through this. Helps to hear what other people are going through as well,you know your not alone. I read all I could and found the Journey Kit very good . All the best.
