Hi Genethen, sounds like a hotflush to me. I have been having them for years, and at their worst, they were coming at intervals of every 7 to 10 minutes, and it felt like an internal volcanic eruption. It would start in my stomach and chest area, then quickly move up to my neck head and face, and I would get all hot, prickly and sweaty, with an anxious feeling as well, until I could remove clothes or fan myself. I have small hand fans in my hand bag, beside the bed and beside the lounge chair. These started years ago, and finally I started HRT last August 2010. I had 3 glorious months, before discovering breast cancer, so have had to endure them again. I think they are starting to lessen in intensity, and are not as frequent as before, but they still come several times a day and through the night. I'm 53, did
chemo this last year, and am now on Femara. I long for
the day that I no longer have them. All the best with the
hot flushes, and I hope you can find some relief.
Love Chris xx
