Hormone Therapy
Hello, I would like to know of any ladies who are Triple Negative and are taking Hormone Therapy due to a very low percentage of PR and ER. I live in Mareeba North Queensland. I start Radiotherapy on...
Hi there,
I'm also triple neg and I thought you'd find this research interesting:

I'm also aware that there is at least one clinical trial (UK) of tamoxifen for triple neg.
Part of the difficulty with treatment seems to be that triple negative is not one type of cancer, but a sort of 'miscellaneous' category for anything that doesn't have one of the three common receptors. My four tumours could have all had different characteristics! This complicates research and underlines the advice that so many women give on this page; what works for one may not work for others.
Certainly there appears to be good reasons for including tamoxifen in your treatment plan. It's showing 'some promise' and seems unlikely to do you any harm. On that basis, in your situation, I'd be deciding to go ahead with it.
But, of course, everyone is different and you need to be happy with your own decision.
