@Romla it’s very true. Exercise does help your mood for sure. I’m a runner, walker, yoga, Pilates person and it has always helped with my mood. Definitely helps produce happy drugs and I have heard many people talk of a “runners high”. The thing for me which prevents me exercising is the fat I have such terrible sleep and if I want to go for a run during the week I have to get up at 5am as I’m at work early and work 4 x 11 hour days. Luckily I’m on my feet most of the day so I regularly do 8-10k steps but I miss having a good nights sleep and waking up full of energy to go for my run. Most days I only manage it when I’m off so I can have an arvo nap ;).
