Hormone blocker - Aromasin
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all having a beautiful day.
I want to ask a question: I have been taking Aromasin for the last five years and will finish at the end of the year.
I had BR twice and ended with a double mastectomy.; my whole body is aching, especially my legs.
Does anyone know if it will get better when finishing the medicine?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Flavia - I am going much better just now, thanks @Riverside. I was on 'the magic oil' for 2 years (medicinal cannabis oil) and that really helped - but I've been off it for most of the year, and going fine - as I also have arthritis, any aches/pains are more from age than medications. No longer 'excessive' ....
I hope you get almost immediate relief once you stop .... tho in reality, it will probably take a month or so to get out of your system. ....

- @arpie thanks forma tour response. I only have a week to go. But the aches and pain have been with me for a while. I just want to know if I will feel better 😥.

Well done for lasting on Aromasin for 5 years already!
Has the aches & pains only just started to happen? Have you changed brands recently?
I started out on Letrozole for 6 weeks and had extreme aches & pains (specially in the legs) & then I was on Exemestane/Aromasin for 6 months & I gradually got the same aches & pains & then changed to Anastrozole & I've been doing much better (for the last 3.5 years.)
Can you ask your Onc if you can have a bit of a break from it? See if the pain diminishes?
I understand (and hope) that the aches & pains SHOULD diminish/stop once you stop taking it - tho it may take a little time ...
Hopefully someone who HAS gone off it will be able to jump onto the thread to confirm that ....
