Home at last

Question

Hi all ,firstly I would just like to thank you for being there this has been really good for me. Thanks. So I fianally made it home after 5 days in hospital. I was fine and the surgery went well it was just that the drain was working over time so they decided to keep me in and let it do it's job.
I have an appointment with the Ocologist next week to sort out the Chemo and Radiation.
I have a question though how long was it for everyone between diagnosis and surgery?? &nbsp;This has been a lightening fast trip for me it was 2 weeks from GP to operating table and would have been quicker if the test results had come back faster.
It is so good to be home. I had a nap in my own bed today and that was the best sleep I have had in nearly a week!!!

Hi Erin, good to hear you are now home. Sleeping in you own bed is like heavenly clouds , so comfy and snuggly.
I started chemo about 4-5 weeks after my operation. They want you to recover from the op and make sure you dont have any complications. 
Not sure about when I start radiation, see the radiologist on Monday to do planning, scanning and tattooing. Another new fork in my road to travel soon.

Hi Erin, good to hear you are now home. Sleeping in you own bed is like heavenly clouds , so comfy and snuggly.
I started chemo about 4-5 weeks after my operation. They want you to recover from the op and make sure you dont have any complications.

Like you, I was 2 weeks between diagnosis and surgery - Easter was in the middle or it might have been sooner.&nbsp; Then it was just over 3 weeks until starting chemo for 12 weekly sessions.&nbsp;&nbsp; After chemo, it will be 1 month until my first radiotherapy session - the consultation/measuring/ct scan and tattooing were about 3 weeks after chemo.
To get to here all up has been 4 1/2 months - hope this helps.&nbsp; Enjoy being at home again!
