home at last

Well what a week chemo was harder this time i have spent 5 days in hospital this time and i think each time might be a bit harder ,i hope not but this time i got a temp and felt like it hit me like a freight train .....i think because i have the gastro paresis its effecting me harder but i feel good now and very happy to be home ......i am keeping myself busy by organising some renovations on the house as i feel its important to keep my mind busy so i don't have to think about how i feel.......i got a new wig before i went in so i'm looking forward to getting out the house and wearing it also i have my look good feel good session coming up so that should be fun ......so 2 down 2 to go yippy

  • Hi Shaz, nice to see you back!  I might be able to swap reno stories with you in a few months, we're thinking of gettting the bathroom and kitchen done (although the idea of doing without both at the same time is a little disconcerting ;).

  • You will certainly have reason to celebrate when it is all complete.  Did they find out where your infection was?  Usually don't my Physican told me.  Anyway keep thinking positive and doing all the things that make you feel happy.  Renovations, I shudder when I hear that word!!!!  It is now over 3 years since we had our bathroom and kitchen pulled out and re-built.  Oh that's right there were some good and funny times.  My husband "rigged up" a shower and "modesty" tent under the back verandah.  That was fun with lots of screaming and laughter.  I must remind him of those good times. • I especially liked when you said it's good to be home. Always having something to look forward to helps. renovations sound good too somethign new and fresh when your chemo is all done and you can enjoy.

Bet your hubby feels like he's got a new woman in the house with your new wig. Good to hear you are going to the 'look good - feel well' workshop sounds loads of fun.

    Take care, cheers,
