I know that it is really good to put pen to paper - like I said on the site to other friends - it is good to "let it out" even if noone replies to the blog. Seems to clear the head a bit. Do you have a Breast Care Nurse who has contacted you. If not try and sus one out. They are really good value "on the ground". You will get lots of info from others on this site as well - if you ask. After you have had your surgery and you have recovered (not sure what type of surgery you are having) it is good to tap into local support groups. I met some wonderful ladies and we eventually formed a dragonboat club. (Can;t get on the river for a while though as it is in huge flood - Fitzroy in Rockhampton) Don't do this alone - we are all here to support you on this journey. I hear from your info that you have great friends as well as family. I know it is hard for them to understand your pain but I'm sure they will lend a shoulder for you to lean on. Scream if you need to - do whatever you want but always try to see the positives. There is life after BC and it is a bloody good life. Nothing will every be the same again - only better because you will see things very differently. Take care and I hope to chat with you again. XLeonie
