High grade DCIS
After a mammogram guided core biopsy my surgeon rang to say I had DCIS and he would need to remove a small area which would probably be all that was necessary.
A few days later he did a lumpectom...
U would be surprised how it does drag out Tonya... :) I did not expect it to take so long & take so much of my life.. But great news about no Radiation and Chemo J. I had the exact same surgery as u... I had the tissue expander too... Nearly a yr on now & still have a couple more surgeries to go until its all completed. then the upkeep of an implant just means surgery for the rest of my life... :( but at the end of the day we are alive and thats the main thing... :)
Keep ur chin up, it can be frustrating! But then you'll feel 100% again some day and go WOW look what I went thru... :) I would take photo's for urself too, to see ur progress. I am a little disapointed I didnt do that now...
