Hi ladies
My name is Amanda and I stumbled across this group on my first visit to bcna site that my breast nurse told me to check out so thanks for letting me be part of the group. I am 32 and was diagnosed in ...
Hi Amanda,
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but i am glad that you have found this website cause it sounds like you really needed to vent a little. Don't apologise for whinging ever its all good.
I too have had tissue expanders but i now have the final implants in. I can reassure you that the silicone implants do not hurt like the expanders did and they are much more comfortable. It took about 8 to 12 months but they do settle in.
Thats great that you have your kids, i have 2 kids Aneetah and Tj they are 6 and 5. I found they made my treatment alot easier because you donot have so much time to yourself. Are your children boys or girls? Are they scarred about the faulty gene??
Thats great that your half way through chemo how many more do you have to go.
I know its tough but try not to be to down. This does all end and you meet alot of amazing people along the way. You will learn some amazing things about yourself too that you never thought were possible.
Sorry it took me so long to reply. Please if you ever want to chat or vent jump online i donot know everything but i have been through a quite similar situation and i feel as though i have come through pretty well. I wish you all the best and try to enjoy the holidays with your kids xx
