Just a shout out to anyone who has had breast reconstruction done or has looked into it around the Sydney area. What surgeons have you heard that are good or are you happy with etc? If you could please help that would be great.

Yes I feel it is the right way to go for me. So many people tell me I am being over the top with choices I have made,but they have never had cancer, so they do not know what it is like to have the worry.

Glad to hear that you have been recommended to her as well. Many people I have spoken to regarding reconstruction surgery have recommended her. I have an appointment with her at the very end of August I'm looking forward to it. I have met so many women that are doing exactly what you are wanting to do, getting rid of the other boob and having reconstruction at the same time. You have to do what is right for you, I will let you know how it goes :)
I have also been recommended to Megan Hassal. my first app is in November. My breast nurse also said she is real good. I have decided to have my other breast off and get both reconstructions done at the same time. Not sure which way to go, until I talk to her.

My surgeon is awesome i love her Dr Rita Kirby she is a cosmetic surgeon but also does breast cancer she done my 2 operations and i will be going to her for my double mastectomy/reconstruction.
