Well here we go again back to surgery take some more breast and a few more lymph nodes unfortunately now as long as these have a clear enough margin i can then start the treatment... worse case is he will go back and just take the lot the main concern is the glands of corse.....anyway for now i'm going to have 1 15yr old boob and 1 49yr old boob ..lol surgery is booked for the 17th of feb so your all ut to date now

You are sure having a run of it. Just think with every little obstacle it is one step closer to the end of surgery etc. We should be going through our treatment together or close to it anyway. I start radiation (yes I'm back to front) on 14th Feb - looks like 25 sessions in Brisbane then returning home late March to commence 6 sessions of chemo in late April. I should be FREE of treatment by end of September!!!!!. You may not have a plan yet. What usually happens - all the surgery is completed then you get appointments to see the radiation oncologist and the medical oncologist who set the plan. They all work together: GP, Surgeon, Radiation Oncologist and Medical Oncologist. I asked my Surgeon specialist who was in charge. He said that each has their own job and they are all equal. Isn't he nice. However because he is local he will be my main player!!! but whilst I am in Brisbane for radiation the radiation Oncologist will be Top Dog. Hang in there Shaz, keep enjoying life as best as you can but also knowing that beating this beast is your focus for a while.XLeonie
