So here goes start of mum’s chemo, and thank gosh she had me (her Endocrinologist actually said this to her). Steroids part of chemo, and she’s diabetic. Onc had told her to test as usual and complete...
Well done. If there is no nausea as a side effect of chemo, steroids may be quite unnecessary. I got my oncologist to take me off them entirely (after very limited doses on four rounds of A/C) and I was fine. For those with serious nausea, it’s a different story but it’s always worth discussing.
