Herception

I finshined my last (#6) chemo TCH on the 26th October and have anyother 34 weeks to go on Herception. Last week was my first dose of Herception by itself. I have mild side effects at least nothing like that damn chemo. Swollen ankles and bad fatigue, some mornings it is hard to get out of bed, just standing doing the dishes is an effort.

I decided this morning I would turn the mattress over what a job, although it took only a couple minutes I was totally out of breath once it was over,

Any ladies out there experiencing the same, understand everyone is different. But this fatigue is incredible .

  • Hi Linda, I've just had infusion no 12 and while I still get fatigued, it doesn't seem to be the crushing exhaustion I had at first. I have had a few heart issues that have been a result of the Herceptin, but I have lovely cardiologist working with my oncologist, so have been able to continue treatment. I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) till March 10! Our bodies truly are amazing machines. I hope all goes well for you too. Good luck and treat yourself gently!
