Herceptin
Hello, I hope everyone is having a good day. I am 12 treatments though my course of 17 Hercepton treatments. I am having terrible trouble with my knee joints ( and yes I am an old netballer). Swollen...
Hi Kay, And welcome to the site. Thanks for adding a comment about Tamoxifen. It's nice to get others experience about drugs. I think I am a lucky one and really don't have too much trouble on Tamoxifen. My family (mostly my sisters) all think that breast cancer is long gone for me - just coming up to my 4th anniversary. They don't understand and probably are a bit scared to think that I live with it every day - like the rest of us. I even have to remind my husband especially on days that I am a bit down. I lost a very dear and longtime friend to the disease just over 2 years ago. She had a terrible 5 year fight but never gave up. I was so inspired by her that I will never give up and I won't complain about any of my symptoms. So I am probably half to blame for my sisters way of thinking. BUT I will be there to support them or anyone else who may "join the club". I'm actually getting a little scared about only 1 more year on Tamoxifen because it hasn't given me too much trouble. I'm not so sure about changing over to the next phase drug. You are right in your way of thinking - live in the NOW. I drive my husband mad because I am a bit over the top. Slowly but slowly I am getting him to think as I do. He works very hard and has been "programmed" to do so until retirement. Bugger retirement Live Now I say. Thanks again for your comments. XLeonie
