Hi Tayna, I am waiting to have herceptin on my fifth chemo, the oncologist said I couldnt have it on my fourth because of the toxicity to the heart. I get butterflies in the heart off and on and I just thought it was me going through menopause. My surgeon wanted me to have the herceptin but was told by my oncologist it was too risky. So last Thursday (4th chemo) I just had docetaxel. By the way the pain all over the boby is awful from this drug! If you did have pain what meds relieved it? I was told to take panodol but it did nothing, so I have been having anti flammatory which is better. Tayna it's good they are monitoring your heart regularly, good luck with this, hope you can start having herceptin soon, as we know it's a drug that fights this type of cancer so we do want it.
