Well how I feel very much depends on when you ask me!
Broadly speaking I now feel OK. I am healing well, there's some bruising but nowhere near what I was expecting, no inflammation and no wound issues so far. My pain is being handled well for the most part.
I did not get off to the expected start because I had low blood pressure problems for the first 3 - 4 days that hindered my progress. Basically everytime I stood or sat up I started to pass out. You're expected to be up out of bed sitting in a chair on Day 1. That has resolved now thank goodness but it's set me back timeline wise.
Emotionlly it's been a lot harder. I've had some very dark stretches. You have to ride out the storms, they do pass. But it's a long haul and we all bring our own particular brand of luggage with us eh?
Sounds to me like work have got it very convenient with you slipping your treatment into "their" schedule! I have avoided radiation but I read here that many find the travel to and from, and the waiting for their appointments to be exhausting. So at least that won't be an issue for you!
No use me saying don't be scared about your operation (what are you having done?). I worked out that this was my 7th general. I'm not scared of them, but do get nervous. However the length of this op was a whole other ball game and I was most apprehensive. Putting it behind you will be good.
Hope your daughter is on the mend soon. K xox
