I've been on Herceptin for six years. The most obvious side effect is a lack of vitality, I find I can 'push through' knowing that I will need time to rest the next day. My work was not full time and that helped. I retired in June. Following diagnosis (metastatic breast cancer) I went to a Naturopath for guidance on diet etc. Alternatives are not cheap so I discontinued after 18mths. In summary eat fresh and fat free. I consider my intake of anti oxidants - leafy greens and purples - easy! Avoid fads, just learn to identify what seems to work for you. I take some supplements some times, all a bit haphazard. I am strict about parabens and other potential toxins which means reading every label, I am also strict with shampoos and hair colour, wear very little make up and no nail polish (Herceptin has made my nails soft and flaky). Its important to keep the lymphatic system moving and daily walking, weights or swimming will be adequate. These chemicals are very strong and although they keep us alive they do compromise the immune system so diet is very important. xBeryl
