Hi Wendy, your story touched me as well. I think we all live in fear of the cancer returning, and there is no way anyone can tell us who it is more likely to come back in. Sorry it had to be you. Will you be returning to work with children while still on chemo? I ask, because you may be more prone to picking up infections while on chemo, and as gorgeous as little people are, they also have lots of germs, that they love to share. I had 4 rounds of chemo 2 years ago, and gave up my job as a treatment room nurse for the duration. I figured that sick people go to the doctor, and more often than not, the nurse was the first one to see them. I was also looking for an excuse to leave this job as well, so it seemed like a good reason. I was very lucky with my chemo, and had no infections or illnesses at all, not even a cold, but it was something I had been warned about. I also only had minimal side effects, so hope you also will be lucky in this area. Take all the medication they give you, as it is easier to prevent nausea, than treat it once it has a hold on you. Good luck with everything, and post often. Love Chris xx
