I agree with Alison, since the discovery of Herceptin the outlook has been much, much brighter for the 20% of women who are diagnosed HER2-neu +.
It is a very effective drug that has worked wonders for many of my friends in the chemo ward!.
This targeted treatment is very well tolerated by the majority and you will be closely monitored for any side effects.
Look forward to your treatment, hope you meet as many fabulous women as I did through my chemo.
