Her 2 for the second time

Hi there, I have just been diagnosed with my second Her 2 cancer after 6 years NED, however this time it was hormone negative DCIS. Does anyone know if you can have Herceptin for DCIS?

@auOrei I ended up having a mastectomy and because it was DCIS they did not offer any further treatment. So I am now pursuing reconstruction.

Oh that’s great news that you don’t need further treatment. Wonderful to hear about plans to do recon. I had a left mastectomy and diep flap recon 6 years post mastectomy.

I am just a bit confused. You mentioned you had a second her2+ after 6 years Ned but it’s actually DCIS? Do you mean the DCIS is Her2+ and hormone-? And was the second time in the same breast? Thanks. x
