Hey Sharl,
I was 46 when I was diagnosed, and chemopause hit me immediately. It's difficult. Even without all the treatments you might be feeling a bit up and down -- add what you're going through and I think you're entitled to be feeling a bit unstable. My advice is to feel what you're feeling at the moment. When your treatments finish, keep track of how you're going and keep talking about it with your GP. There are strategies and medicines that can help. Chemopause is different from normal menopause; it's much more sudden, and might not be complete. I didn't have a period for 23 months after chemo, then started again for 2 months, then stopped for another 10 months... my GP did a blood test for hormones and declared that I am not yet in menopause. It's exhausting to think that I might have to go 'through' it over and over. I guess it's the price we pay for bundling cancer on its way.
Anyway: let yourself experience everything you're feeling, talk to your medical team about it, and try not to judge yourself. Later on, when you're out of chemo and out of crisis mode, you can get yourself back on track.
Go well,
Heather
