Hi there after being told that I won't need chemo just radiation and hormone tabs just got a call from medical oncologist receptionist to say they want me to come in for a discussion on adjunctive ch...
Sometimes the inititial conversations tell you one thing but after final pathology and a team discussion they may decide to offer something different. Do you have a breast care nurse you can talk with? I got the phone call after surgery to say we've made your appointment with the oncologist. It may well be just a discussion about and be given options.
Adjuctive therapy means treatment alongside surgery.

It's upsetting but doesn't mean outcomes are worse. Write down questions you want to ask...things like what are the statistics with or without chemo etc. You can do this even if it means chemo, you are strong enough. Kath x
