Heartburn and feeling like a lump to swallow past

Try soda water @Shakalker . I found the fizz helped with that disgusting dead grey tongue business--use the first couple of slurps as a mouthwash then spit it out. The bubbles also encourage burping which, yuk as it sounds, helps with nausea. I was lucky enough to never need more than the occasional Stemitil-- I had every other reaction known to science but it chemo didn't make me chuck.
If you tolerate the soda water you may enjoy a bit of lemon or pomegranate in it.
Make sure you keep records about the discomfort you are experiencing and take them to your next appointment. It is possible you are having a reaction to the drugs which can be controlled. Mxx
