  • Thank you jessica, You have explained it very clearly. I have read people going through treatment and every now and again they mention about the heart scan. So I was just unsure. I have been diagnosed on Nov 21st as ER & PR positive. HER2 neg. so I won't be taking herceptin. Thanks guys Juli
  • I have had 2 of these heart scans, coming up to my third on 10th December. My first measure was 71. the next was 69, and both are good readings.

  • Thanks guys. I just love the communication on this bcna sute. It's great. Cheers Juli

  • Hi Juli heart scan is done before and durng hercetin treatment. I have had 3 so far , I had one before starting herceptin and then one every 3 months. When on herceptin they need to moniter your heart

The scan takes about a hour they take pictures of your heart, ask your oncolgist or the radiologist to explain the precedure. It dosen;t hurt just another annoying test. Make a list of questions  to take with you on Monday a second pair of ears helps as well as there is always lots of information and you go into overload.
