Hi Tonya,
I had my first breast cancer in my right breast in May 2009 and treatment lasted until 2010. This second cancer in my left breast was diagnosed in late November 2011. So only a year and a half between cancers. I guess this means that I still have the memory and knowledge of the treatment, so I know what I'm in for.
Yes, it is a kick in the guts to get cancer again and I prefer not to have to, but it is what it is.
The kids have settled into school well, and teachers and principal have been really supportive and a neighbour helped out this week my looking after the kids on the day I had chemo.
So far, so good, and I will see how it all goes over the next few months.
