How are you going? Thats great that you are healing well and even better that you get a break to do your mummy things. My daughter is in year 1 this year and my son is going into kindy the same as your kids. I was also a new parent at the school when i was going through my treatment and everyone was very understanding without making me feel as though they felt sorry for me.
There is a school chaplain at the school who is there to assist with kids who are having a rough time and never has he had to chat with my daughter as it has not phased her at all. I think its good them being so young when we were diagnosed as they do not fully comprehend it. They have not heard stories in the news like older children may have so they have nothing to compare it to. They only know what we tell them and what we see.
I think its great that you are going to chat to the principal i hope that you have the same experience with your new school as i did with mine.
