Hi Galaxy Sue,
just a quickie to update you on my Xeloda treatment. I saw onco today (3 weeks since starting) and HOORAY - both my cancer markers have dropped. CA15 went down by 97 points and CEA went down by 2. Onco was surprised that the treatment appears to be working so quickly. Hasnt prescribed any other treatment, just to continue taking Xeloda and he will monitor what is happening. CT scans showed no involvement with any of my organs, so it appears it is just the bone secondaries causing the probs.
I must say though that I did feel awful for prob a week and half out of the first 2 weeks, and it wasnt until about day 3 of not taking drug that I realised I was feeling better and normal (whatever that is!) - so there were quite a few sides effects that I didnt realise were side effects (if that makes sense). Have just started another cycle yesterday, so know I will be more aware of what is happening.
