Has anyone else had bilateral radiotherapy?

I'm going to have to have radiation on both sides. I've had a double mastectomy into air expanders.

Has anyone else experienced radiation on both sides?

I have a long list of questions to ask the radiation onc when I see her on 20 September but in the meantime I'd love to do a bit of research and hear any stories.

Do they zap both sides simultaneously? Or one at a time?

    Hi @Eastmum yes they can do them in the same appt. They would get you all aligned, then move to one side and treat that then come back in treat the other. They would need to be mindful each day of the "medial edges" which is where they meet in the middle. They may have a slight gap between the 2 sides or a strict junction. Best wishes x
